***Tippy’s: (242) 332-3331; One of the greatest beach restaurants in the world, the atmosphere is great. Check out their live music on Saturday nights!
1648 Bar and Grille: (242) 699-5542; Unbeatable sunset views and terrific food. Also try their cocktails…fabulous!
Pascal’s Seafood Restaurant & Pool Bar at Sky Beach Club: 242-332-3422; Their Sunday afternoon barbecue with live music is great! Have a drink at the pool bar and listen to the band and then head in for dinner. (Customers eating and drinking at Pacal’s can use the pool for free.
***Buccaneer Club Restaurant (salads/burgers/wraps): 242-332-2000 On the hill in Governor’s Harbour…the best breakfast in town and the patio under a massive tree is a perfect spot.

For casual local cuisine in the Governors Harbour area, try:
***Stubbs’ famous Barbecue, every Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; 242-335-6111 This is a MUST-DO while on the island. Located in Billy and Brenda Stubbs’ front yard, this is food that cannot be beat and the prices are great. Ribs, pork chops, chicken and the BEST side dishes you have ever had…and don’t forget to take some of Brenda’s cake home with you. We recommend getting there by 11:30 because this stuff sells out!
***Pammy’s Take Away: located in Governor’s Harbour Queen’s Highway 242 332-2843 Seriously delicious breakfast and lunch…closes at 5. Get there early!
Mate & Jenny’s Pizza Take-away (pizza and Bahamian); 242-332-1504 Located in Palmetto Point.
Sunset Inn (local cuisine); 242-332-2487 The fried lobster is delicious!

Mel’s Snack Shack & Takeaway: 242-335-6480 (James Cistern, ½ mile north of Buttonwood Reserve on Queens Highway) Open Monday – Saturday at 6:30AM Sundays open at 2:30PM.

Sammy’s Place: 1 242-334-2121 The best conch fritters on the island. Open early every day. Great for a stop on the way to the Blue Hole.
